The Rainbow Common Wealth is a group of young people who have taken back from rack and ruin a plot of public land in Sussex that was being run as a horticultural Centre for the Community, this is again public land being administered by the council. The group are rebuilding the Centre, at their own cost, for the benefit of the Community yet the council, bailiff and police turned up mobbed handed with riot vans down the street, on 29th January 2015, after issuing a fraudulent Eviction Notice and brutally tried to evict the group from the land…… they managed on this occasion to hold their ground and are due to have another court hearing on 11th February 2015.
These people are leading the way forward, like a number of others, by saying “no more” to the corrupt system that works and they NEED OUR SUPPORT even in person at the Centre or by sharing and spreading this information around about what they are trying to do, for us all!
Below is a description from The Rainbow Common Wealth’s Facebook page of who they are, wat they are doing and what they need…….
“We are ecological activists, working for the people, creating space to grow food, be creative, learn, develop skills and live harmoniously……
We are a small collective who have occupied the Meadview Centre on Lyminster Road, Lyminster, Littlehampton, West Sussex, (opposite the Six Bells pub), a derelict horticultural community resource centre in Sussex. We are passionate about community, sustainability and are active conservationists. We recognise that the knowledge of growing our own food is becoming ever more detached from our normal daily living. Meadview had been purpose built for community projects and it should remain this way. We wish to clean it up, involve the local community, reapply for funding, and utilise our community resources not ignore them.
If you would like to send anything to help us we need compost, seeds, tools and a pond lining. if you wish to post anything please send us a message.
Contact us on 0778 795 6349 or 0750 857 9729
You may be wondering what exactly we want to do at this centre…the LCTHOMElink project provided a lot for many people in the community and we would like to restore this as there is no replacement service for them to use, so this is providing food for those who are in need, a place for people to learn how to grow vegetables and a free/swap shop, we have already been given alt of really nice cloths for this. We would like to put on free alternative therapy days, where people can get some healing and advice. we would like to offer the space to the neighbouring community for functions/meetings. cancer wise workshops, giving information about alkaline diets, along with cancer wise food picked and cooked at the centre. The centre can also be used for Home-educated families and other groups to learn gardening using the bio-dynamic approach, art and craft, up-grading furniture, bush craft and growing flower salad.”
Picture from recent ANTI-FRACKING in LANCASHIRE in Blackpool – well done guys xx
SATURDAY 21st JUNE 2014
FRACK FREE LANCASHIRE : THE CAMPAIGN
From 10am at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool
(click on the picture below to access the FACEBOOK site)
On Saturday 21st June between 10am and 4pm, in St John’s Square Blackpool, RAFF – Residents Action on Fylde Fracking along with fifteen Fylde, Wyre and Preston campaign groups will unite to launch the Frack Free Lancashire campaign.
The campaign will give Lancashire residents the opportunity to oppose Cuadrilla’s new planning applications, whilst also raising awareness to the dangers that shale gas development poses to communities. This is the real public consultation that will reach out to the wider community and let the public know that their voice counts. Following the launch each campaign group will be regularly setting up a stall in their town centre to give the public details of how to object to Cuadrilla’s new planning applications at Preston New Road, Blackpool and Roseacre, near Kirkham, Lancashire.
“Shale gas development poses a significant threat to the Lancashire environment, wildlife and the health and safety of local communities. Lancashire residents have the right to say no to shale gas development in their community. It has become apparent that many people do not know how to make an objection, especially those who do not have access to the internet. It is the goal of Frack Free Lancashire – The Campaign to allow residents to get involved, have their say and make their voice count.”

Tesco bows to pressure from protesters and removes spikes outside a central London store after claims that homeless people should ‘not be treated like pigeons’
Tesco has removed spikes from outside one of its stores after activists claimed they were ”anti-homeless.”
The supermarket had claimed the ”studs” on a ledge outside the Metro convenience store in Regent Street in central London were installed to deter anti-social behaviour like smoking and drinking, which intimidated customers.
But Tesco bowed to pressure from protesters who were due to demonstrate outside the shop on Thursday night.
Left Unity organised the protest after pictures of an unrelated set of spikes, outside a block of flats in the London borough of Southwark, caused fury on Twitter earlier this week.
‘Thousands of people have made their feelings known online and this should be a message to any other company thinking of using anti-homeless spikes.”
‘The campaign to remove all the anti-homeless spikes from everywhere they have been put in continues.”
”We don’t want to live in a society where public space is covered in spikes. Homeless people are not pigeons.”
”Instead of leaving people homeless, they should be housed in one of the 700,000 homes currently lying empty in Britain. Homeless people need homes not spikes.”
A Tesco spokesman said: ”Customers told us they were intimidated by anti-social behaviour outside our Regent Street store and we put studs in place to try and stop it.
”These studs have caused concern for some who have interpreted them as an anti-homeless measure so we have decided to remove them to address this concern.
”We will find a different solution and hope this clears up any confusion.”
Kris Hopkins, the housing minister, branded the spikes outside Southwark housing development offensive.
NOTE FROM CRY FREEDOM RADIO: This is was the article above from The Telegraph and I was only talking about this subject in front of the NEW HORIZONS meetup last Monday evening……. the homeless in our society are a result of the system we live in, much of this perpetrated by the powers that be and of course we are not blameless also, this whole spike thing is yet another dehumanising, desensitising, divide and conquer technique and is yet another instance of attacking the end problem rather than addressing the cause of the issue , which would be much more progressive and useful, and surely any logical mind can see it would be far far more productive to spend money actually doing something to help these poor people rather than constructing bloody spikes and let’s face it folks the next step will be to ship all these “victims of a corrupt greedy system” off to some sort of camp and it’s only a matter of time before some of us are in the same boat – we all need to stand up for compassion and doing what is right and restoring our ways of life to something with meaning and genuine empathy for all living things! much love, Lisa xx

TUESDAY 17th JUNE 2014 : HEREFORD
U P D A T E
I’ve had news that this was a VICTORY for GUY & LINDA TAYLOR – Guy Taylor, his family and 50+ campaigners/supporters gathered on Tuesday 17th June 2014 at Pear Tree Farm, Hereford, UK and SUCCEEDED in WINNING against a FRAUDULENT EVICTION perpetrated against the Taylor family – VICTORY prevailed….
WELL DONE GUYS at GUY’S – PEOPLE POWER wins again ;o)
Alert: Support For Guy Taylor Needed
On today’s UK Column News – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1v_ntEj7qs – Guy Taylor gave an update on his continuing battle with fraudulent banks, utility companies and corrupt courts.
To give a little background, Guy’s fight began when a Barclays Bank manager allegedly created a fraudulent loan in Guy’s name using a forged signature. Details of this can be seen in an episode of our documentary series Insight which can be viewed here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehklozL6b90
Recently events came to a head when Guy had Bodenham Manor, a property bought by his father for cash and for which there is no outstanding debt, stolen from him when bailiffs, supported by 50 or more police evicted him and his tenants from the property.
Guy has demonstrated that all this has happened on the basis of fraudulent documents, and as he showed on the UK Column News today, he has confirmation from the court where the latest documents were apparently issued from that they did not issue them and no hearing took place there.
Now they are attempting to steal his own home, on which, again, there is no outstanding debt.
So we are asking everyone who can possibly do it to come to Guy’s home on Tuesday to support Guy in his efforts to see off this unlawful intimidation. We need as many people on site as possible equipped with cameras, video cameras and notebooks to record events as they happen.
The eviction is due to start at 11am on Tuesday the 17th June 2014 at Pear Tree Farm, Carey, Hereford HR2 6NG.
We hope to see you there, but whether you can get there or not, please pass this to as many people as possible, and keep an eye on the UK Column lunchtime news programmes (1pm Mon-Fri http://ukcolumn.org/live) for updates.
The Anti Fracking Protectors at Crawberry Hill NEED YOUR HELP!
(click on this link above for FB page)
The Anti Fracking protectors at Crawberry Hill and West Newton near Hull need your help. I have been up to see them today and all are putting themselves on the line to protect us all from this abomination that is causing massive pollution of air soil and water. Because they are few in number at present the police are getting away with massive injustices and the trucks are going in and out unhindered. The protectors are stretched between the two sites and are being picked off and arrested unlawfully. Roads are being blocked unlawfully by them and lies being told as to the reasons why. When arrests are made and protectors to on protector support to the courts in Beverly then liberties are taken by police at the camp. Today protectors were kettled at Crawberry Hill and prevented from using the toilets. One young lady called Lana who is gravely ill with cancer was left in a near collapsed state and despite pleas to let her use the toilet to help her was denied this human right. An ambulance was called and this was prevented from getting through for some time by police.
Please can everyone who knows how wrong this is and lives in either Yorkshire or Lincolnshire make an effort to visit these sites and support the protectors. It is a must for anyone who has licences sites near them as we will have to set up our own sites soon and need to know what we are up against. These protectors have a lot to teach us. If you can give a day or a few hours then it could make so much difference. The nearest post code is HE17 8RU and phone the camp 07475579494. The road at Crawberry Hill is closed at the moment but access to camp is allowed if you give the code Joe and Keiran.
The protectors are needing donations of wood, water, sleeping bags, socks, Tents, crockery and are trying to raise £100 to have thousands of leaflets printed to help with local awareness. Please share this status. Many thanks xx
24th May 2014 : Peaceful Activist and Campaigner DARREN NESBIT and the team from Crawberry Hill protection camp go to Beverley to raise awareness of the FRACKING sites that are in danger of contaminating the water supply in the area. The village historically famous for street music is normally a sanctuary for musical artists. Everybody is good natured and happy until HUMBERSIDE POLICE turn up in riot vans wearing taser side arms. In an effort to generate crime, police go from shop to shop to seek complaints from shop owners. Humberside police fighting people, protecting crime……………

GUERILLA GARDENER STOPPED IN TRACKS……..
A community crusader who invested his time and money into revamping an empty plantbed had his generosity repaid with a senseless act of crime.
Paul Whitehead spent hours planting vegetable seeds and saplings in the bed on Waterloo Road, South Shore, in a bid to not only brighten up the area but provide a sustainable food source.
The 36-year-old has set up his own green business Pedalable Edibles, cycling around Blackpool to help gardeners develop allotments and grow their own fruit and veg.
On Thursday he spent a spare few hours planting outside Brook’s Collectables and Notarianni’s Ices in the shopping area, at a cost of around £20.
But on Friday morning he found his much-needed bike trailer, used to carry his workload around the resort, had been stolen from a back yard off Bath Street, South Shore.
He said: “I do this guerilla gardening too, it’s taking it upon yourself to transform wasteland to grow fruit and veg in.
“I’ve gone out and done that for the community and this is how I’ve been repaid with my trailer taken.
“I’m setting up my business to go out on my bike and help people to transform their gardens into growing space for them to plant things.”
The budding Ray Mears hopes the planting will encourage people to think about their food sources and sustainability.
Mr Whitehead hopes South Shore residents will catch on to his idea and the food planted on Waterloo Road will be taken and made good use of.
And he’s said he won’t be deterred by anyone.
He added: “People have asked how long it will last but I live near by so I’ll keep coming back until people appreciate it.”
PAUL, YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION, THANK YOU XX
